Met dank aan financiering van het ICC High Performance Programme heeft de KNCB drie full-time contracten (categorie A) gesloten met captain Peter Borren, Tom de Grooth en Eric Swarzynski. County spelerovereenkomsten (categorie B) zijn geaccepteerd door Ryan ten Doeschate en Alexei Kervezee, terwijl met de rest van het team part-time overeenkomsten zijn aangegaan (categorie C).

De CEO van de KNCB, Richard Cox, over het proces: We have different categories of contracts, so that there are options and oppurtunities for those in careers, those playing county cricket in the UK, and those not established yet or emerging. The contracts are also designed to be flexible to allow some to progress full-time with their cricket and coaching whilst others will be focussed on their county commitments and careers in the Netherlands.

Bondscoach Peter Drinnen: "It"s another step forward in semi-professionalizing in the squad and in general the squad and I will benifit from full-access to each other in training and preparation leading through to the Worl Cup."

Captain Peter Borren was positief voor de komende periode:"We are looking forward to having more oppurtunity to devote time to the Netherlands team in a truly exciting 13 months for Dutch Cricket", terwijl Daan van Bunge die een part-time overeenkomst heeft getekend vanwege de progressie van maatschappelijke carriere zei:This was a much needed necessary step in view of the full programme. Also the Netherlands is now following other countries in professionalizing the set-up. This way competing at the highest possible level becomes a step closer as the core of the team improves its cricket"

De contracten en overeenkomsten lopen tot en met december 2010, waarbij er gedurende deze periode meerdere momenten zijn om spelers aan te bieden om de contracten te verlengen tot het WK in februari 2011.
